Stirling Fraser, M.Sc., EP, CEA
President / Senior Lead Consultant
Stirling co-founded Spectrum in 1997 after deciding to leave his seven-year stint with his government position (BC Ministry of Environment) originally established in Victoria, B.C., but soon after re-located to Kelowna, B.C. to more effectively service clients throughout Western Canada.
Throughout Stirling’s consulting practice he has worked with a combination of business sectors (natural gas, power generation, mining/smelting, transportation, and tourism), along with various levels of government. His extensive experience includes; auditing, risk assessment, management system development/implementation, regulatory compliance, corporate due diligence, total cost assessment, sustainability, and Business P4.
Stirling is a Certified Environmental Auditor with 21 years of audit experience, having conducted several hundred lead auditing days, focused on compliance, management system and performance audits.
Throughout his 30-year consulting career, Stirling has assisted and collaborated with clients, from the CEOs and Board of Directors to line staff and contractors. Stirling’s passion and skills include being able to listen, investigate, analyze, and identify solutions. He is able to bring together diverging organizational groups to solve problems, improve performance, increase profit margins, improve worker and stakeholder engagement, and ‘connect the dots’ for business.
Stirling’s passion is to work with clients that understand and embrace a business model that synergizes and incorporates people, planet (environment), purpose, and yes, profit (‘P4 Approach’). Stirling welcomes any opportunity to sit down with like-minded business leaders over a fine cup of espresso (or a bold red) to chat about how a P4 approach can re-energize an organization.
When not attending to Spectrum, Stirling is an avid hiker, skier, and mountain biker. Family, travel adventures, giving back and animals are core aspects of Stirling’s life.
